Lace Around the Wound is the 1989 sophomore album by American singer, actress and musician, E.G. Daily. In the UK, the album was titled Fly.[2]

The album signaled a change in direction for Daily from synthpop to rock.[3] The lead single, "Some People"[4] peaked at #33 on the American Dance Chart. After A&M failed to promote the album, Daily parted ways with the label.[5]

The album was produced by various producers, mainly Lotti Golden and Tommy Faragher, both American musicians and producers. Two tracks were produced by Daily herself, one track was produced by keyboardist and producer John Van Tongeren[6] and two tracks were produced by Glenn Skinner and Pete Glenister. Skinner is a producer of many artists including Curiosity, Lighthouse Family, Boy George, and Debbie Harry.[7] Glenister is an English musician and producer, best known for his work with Alison Moyet.[4]

Due to the limited success of the album, Daily wouldn't release another album until 1999, titled Tearing Down The Walls. This album would be released under a new record label.[8]

"Cry Just a Little" was later covered in 1992 by Celine Dion. The cover is only available as a b-side of certain editions of the "Love Can Move Mountains" single. The song was originally un-used and taken from the recording sessions of Dion's eponymous 1992 album.[9] “This Time” and “Heart Don’t Lie,” appeared in the American NBC hit television series California Dreams, and were also released on the California Dreams (Soundtrack) CD by MCA Records (1992).
